Giving -Gettysburg

Welcome to Gettysburg - our capital campaign for Humanitas.

Words spoken by Abraham Lincoln, aimed at government, are now being applied to higher education, reimagined.

That an education, of the people, by the people, and for the people, shall not perish from the earth.

Humanitas is "grass roots."  We do not have federal or state funding.  We rely on people who have a great dream and belief in America, an imperfect nation, but still a shining city on a hill.  We rely on people who know in their soul that education needs to change and are willing to invest and be part of something greater than themselves.

We believe in availability.  We want our educational offerings to be "Rated E for Everyone."  So too, we want investment in Humanitas to be "Rated E for Everyone."

We also believe in simplicity.  So we have made "giving" as simple as we can.  We invite investment at three different levels so that every person who desires can be part of this project.

The first level is "Sustainer."  Sustainers are investors at the $100 level.  These are the people who believe in Humanitas and want to be part of bringing change to higher education.  At $100 per year, we believe this is something most people can sacrifice for.

The second level is "Grower."  Growers are investors at the $200 level.  In their gut they know they can offer more than $100.  They want to invest with the intention that Humanitas grow, not just operate.  And they are willing to help make that happen.

The third level is "Launcher."  Launchers are larger capital investors who want to fund a local expression of Humanitas in a local community.  These are typically 1 time investments by those who want to be part of building something new.

Traverse City, Michigan is our first local community.

While we believe in both availability and simplicity, wanting these principles to undergird Gettysburg - our capital campaign, we also believe in prayer.

And so we ask.  We ask that those who feel the tug of God upon their heart, would keep Humanitas in their prayers.  This is the greatest ask we can make.
