Shalom Initiative: ReDiscovering Jesus in Traverse City, Michigan
This course is a systematic exploration of the person of Jesus through a study of the gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. After beginning with an overview, familarizing ourselves with the content of each book, we then move to learning to listen and respond to what God might be saying to each one of us personally.
JesusFormation
This course explores JesusFormation, the forming of Jesus in us, as the ultimate expression of being fully human.
God in you. God through you. God as you. These three form the framework for JesusFormation. We will be studying the words and works of Jesus, through this lens, that we might grow and gain a fuller understanding of God's original intent for us, that which all people actually share or have in common.
Created & Called To Be Human
This course is an in depth study of Romans 8:29-30 in The Message translation. Motivated by love, God has put a plan into place before the foundation of time, so that we, their most prized creation, can live in the fulfillment of our created potential. Being human, it turns out, is not something which is automatic. Instruction and submission are both required.
Flourishing By Design
This course integrates human flourishing with design thinking and principles of life design as taught at Stanford. Principles of life design are taught as a framework for why life design is the most appropriate approach for 21st century flourishing humans. Learning to live as a Designer is essential for being a 21st century human!
Jesus & The Art of Human Flourishing
This course examines popular offerings and frameworks for human flourishing. Then it offers Jesus as an additional framework, as one who came to restore what it means to be fully human.
