To capture this reality, we consider our work to be 99.9% Original.

 

We are creating Knowledge in a culture of Innovation.  And we are doing so by exploring new business models and offerings in higher education.

 

Some of our "Originality" is expressed as follows:

 

I.  Humanitas is a Human Flourishing Academy.  

​

This is a new category in the space of higher education.  We are not defined by time, 2 year or 4 year.   We are not defined by programs.  Rather, we are defined by purpose - Human Flourishing.

 

A Human Flourishing Academy is an Honors College for Humans.

 

II.  We are creating a new, academic discipline, field of study, research and scholarship called: 

 

"Humanpreneurship"

 

​Humanpreneurship is the study of what it means to be human, as informed by God. It is a new approach to being human. Humanpreneurship is the seamless integration of deep and robust discipleship (study) of Jesus with entrepreneurship for humans.

III.  We have a Human Learning Lab, a Moonshot Factory for Innovation, called The PLAYground.

​

IV.  Our Learning Construct is our "I Profile."

​

V.  Our signature Curriculum is called, "Common Good Education" which houses our flagship offering of Humanpreneurship.

​

VI.  We have an Assessment tool for Human Flourishing called, "Interplay."

​

VII.  We have a new form of Accreditation called, "Humans Flourish Here."

​

VIII.  Our Business Model prefers collaboration with existing Community Colleges. 

 

IX.  We are missional.  We are launching a base camp in Traverse City, Michigan.  But we are not staying in Traverse City, Michigan.

​

X.  Our funding campaign is called, "Gettysburg."  This captures the ideal that an education of the people, by the people, and for the people shall not perish from the earth.

​

​XI.  We offer Jesusformation as the ultimate expression of being human.

​

XII.  Our "Gospel" is that God has provided for all mankind to become fully human, once again.

​

XIII.  Our "Gospel Question" invites people to become the person God created them to be.

​

XIV.  Our immediate initiatives include the following:

​

          *  Yfli (pronounced "Why Fly").  This is a Youth Flourishing Leadership Initiative gap year, Fall 2027.
